On My Radar #1

“On My Radar” is the first in a series showcasing decor pieces, textiles, furniture, or home objects that have caught my attention. Some are pure inspiration, others are potential purchases for my space due to necessity, or just a wish to change.

Zara Home Striped Wool Throw

Currently, I have a synthetic cream-coloured blanket I bought years ago. While it does the deed of keeping us warm, I’ve been searching for a real wool blanket that has a colorful pattern. I saw this wool throw with a multicoloured stripe design that seems just what am looking for.

Artemide Tolomeo Micro Wall Lamp

I still need better lighting for work, but I didn’t want to add yet another object to my desk. With a laptop, computer, computer screen, notebooks and storage items, space is already limited and I like my desk space clean and visible. Since my desk faces a wall, a wall lamp seemed like the perfect fit. I specifically wanted a chrome or silver finish to add some contrast to the space. After browsing a few other options, including HAY’s Cupola Wall Lamp, I am leaning towards Artemide’s Tolomeo Micro Wall Lamp—it’s a timeless design and would definitely elevate the room.

Burel Factory Wall Acoustic Panel

Now that I finally finished painting all the walls and removed the white foam panels I had hanged initially, I want to add some acoustic treatment to one of the walls of my office. I’m considering a vivid green wool panel like this one to brighten up the room a bit. Burel Factory is a Portuguese brand dedicated to the preservation and regeneration of the mountain heritage of burel (wool) fabric. Their beautiful wall panels reduce sound reverberation and are tested for effective sound absorption.

Serax Box with lid round

From the Cose collection designed by Bertrand Lejoly, I saw this box and thought it would be great to store tea or matcha. It’s quite affordable.

HKLiving’s 70’s Ceramic cookie jar

For the same purpose as above, an alternative would be this ceramic cookie jar. It would be a way more interesting color to display on my kitchen shelves. Keeping an eye on it.

That wraps up the first post of “On My Radar”. These pieces reflect my current taste and what I’ve been keeping an eye on. Curating and refining a space is an ongoing, ever-evolving process which I deeply enjoy. I hope you enjoyed reading along.
